The President of Mansoura University Opens the Second Stage of Developing the Educational and Training Units at the Faculty of Engineering

Today on 1st December 2020, Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset, the president of Mansoura University opened the second stage of developing steps of the faculty of Engineering, rehabilitation of its infrastructure, and developing the educational and training units in order to complete the plan of developing the faculty Engineering , Mansoura University. This plan focuses on eight main axes which aim at keeping up with the top faculties of Engineering at International universities.

The attendees were: Prof. Mohamed Attia, the vice-president of the University for Education and Students' Affairs, prof. Mohamed Abdel-Azeem, the dean of the faculty of Engineering, vice-deans of the faculty, a delegation from AUC, the manager of Studies Center, the manager of Career Development Center at the University, and the manager of Career Development at the Faculty of Engineering.

The openings contain the following:

Career development center: it was established in cooperation with AUC and sponsored by USAID in Cairo and aims at participating in offering career guidance and training on job skills and eliminating the gap between the academic education and labor market needs for the last year students at the faculty of Computers and Information Sciences for free with a capacity of 75 trainees in one session, to be considered as one of the biggest centers among the Egyptian universities.

Engineering Studies and Consulting Center: It is one of the castles that distinguish the faculty of Engineering as well as Mansoura University. Further, the center participated in performing many designs and supervised a number of national projects. Besides, the center was well qualified to keep up with digital transformation era and manage the system of specialized engineering offices either in infrastructure or in electronic management system. In addition to EyePro application which guarantees working and performing projects without working system malfunction.

Online teaching halls: in parallel with Covid-19 pandemic and the state's adopting of Hybrid Education System, 10 interactive education halls were established which were equipped with what suits the engineering education, guarantees producing high quality scientific subject, delivering it to our students, and achieves high benefit from the scientific production for teaching staff and their assistants.

Providing workplace for the faculty's students which is considered an extra place for learning and transferring experiences among students as well as experts with a capacity of 120 trainees or team member and this place is divided into two halls which are used for discussion that does not need traditional halls or interactive workshops or team discussion or graduate projects for students or students team works which guarantees the interaction like all international universities.

All these projects were done by the faculty's self-resources and a great part of them were performed by the faculty's team members through designing, supervising and performing major parts of these projects.

Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset, the president of the university confirmed that the faculty witnesses a completed developing plan either on rehabilitation of infrastructure or the educational and training units, and accelerates steps towards digital transformation and developing education and learning methods.
