The Opening of the 1st Students' Forum by the Service Center for People with Disabilities at Mansoura University  (We live to achieve not just to hope)

Today on Sunday 31st January 2021, the events of the 1st Students' Forum were launched online by the Service Center for People with Disabilities at Mansoura University (the University is for All) under the slogan (We live to achieve not just to hope). The forum was organized by the center in cooperation with 'Land of Egypt Team' at the University throughout two days. The participants were Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset, Prof. Mohamed Attia ElBayoumy, the novelist and presenter/ Essam Youssef, the presenter and founder of ''Genius people program'', the journalist/ Hazem Nasr, editorial director of Akhbar Elyoum and journalists syndicate in Dakahlia, Dr. Samah Khamees, Director of the Service Center for People with Disabilities at Mansoura University and the forum chair, Dr.Eman Abou ElFadl, Deputy Director of the center and the forum organizer, Dr. Usama Abou-Elnasr, the director of the University Center for Career Development, and a number of university staff and students.

Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset praised the exerted efforts by the members of the Service Center for People with Disabilities at Mansoura University in preparing for this forum and their continuous goal in merging people with disabilities to participate in the university's events. He added that it is necessary to spread the culture of accepting the other in the society as people with disabilities have a key role in the society and their talents should be presented in a good way. Further, he pointed out that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research cares for people with disabilities by adding a chapter about the rights of the kids with disabilities in the curriculum of human rights by the next academic year which will be taught by the staff members of the university.

Prof. Mohamed Attia Elbayoumy noted that this forum is considered the first event that was launched after the official opening of the Service Center for People with Disabilities at Mansoura University in last December. Besides, he expressed his glad towards participation of a number of presenters in this forum such as the journalist/ Hazem Nasr and the novelist/ Essam Youssef as well as the volunteers from the student' teams at Mansoura University and the talented students with disabilities. Further, he praised the arrangement of the forum despite of the current crisis of the variant COVID-19 spread as well as the fruitful cooperation between Mansoura University, and Dream Company for Training and consultations, USAID and AMIDEAST to support people with Disabilities at the University. He confirmed that the University is Keen on encouraging people with disabilities to join the faculties of the university such as, the following faculties (Law- Commerce-Arts) without depending on Application Office. He stressed on offering the academic courses electronically in Braille method to facilitate learning for students with disabilities and adding some special academic programs of the Faculty of Education as well as the Faculty of Education for Childhood.
