On Sunday 8th July 2018, prof/ Mohamed Kenawy - President of Mansoura University, held a meeting with the members of the nephrology and dialysis unit at Mansoura University Hospital, to discuss the development of medical services for nephrology and renal failure patients, and how to increase the number of dialysis machines.
During the meeting, prof/ Kenawy discussed the difficulties and challenges facing the nephrology and dialysis unit that includes the increasing number of patients with renal failure and kidney disease and the lake of beds, which affects the university's medical and scientific reputation.
He also directed of the quick completion of the new annex building at the specialized hospital to meet the challenges in the future due to the increasing number of patients.
Prof/ Kenawy, stressed that the service of patients with renal failure and renal disease is a major task carried out by the nephrology and dialysis unit and that all employees of Mansoura University should work together to perform this service in an optimal manner.
He also referred to the continued work of the unit in the main hospital even after the opening of the new annex building at the Specialized Hospital to ensure the provision of suitable service for all patients within the different sections of the hospital.
