The opening ceremony will take place on March 16-21,2009 (10.0 AM) at Faculty of Science, Mansoura University,
Mansoura, Egypt. The conference activities will start the same day.
On behalf of the organizing committee, we are very delighted to invite you to participate in the 10th International Conference on Chemistry and its Role in Development (10thICCRD), which will be held at Sharm El- Sheikh Egypt, March 16-21,2009.
The conference aimed to bring together scientists from industry, universities and research institutes to discuss modern academic and industrial aspects of various fields of development in science and technology of materials. We cordially welcome you to experience all these and have an informative and enjoyable time in Egypt.

Oral and Poster Presentations are encouraged. Abstracts must be received by Febr.28, 2009. Each poster will be allocated within a space of 1.0 m high and 0.8 m wide . The poster should be headed with the title as well as the names and addresses of the authors as submitted in the abstract and contain a clear survey of the research data. Scheduling of posters will be announced in the final program.
English will be the official language of the conference. No simultaneous translation is available.
Selected papers will be published after refereed in a special issue of Mansoura Science Bulletin. The author(s) would consider the following guidelines while preparing the manuscript. References should be arranged alphabetically without numbering and listed at the end of the manuscript in the following form:
* For articles; Author(s) name with initials first, Year, Title of article, abbreviated title of the Journal, volume number, inclusive pages.
* For books; Author(s) name with initials first, Title of the book, publisher year and pages.
Original type tables are required in a suitable form for direct reproduction. Large or long tables should be typed on continuing sheets.
All photographs, graphs and diagrams should be numbered consecutively. The legends should be typed on a separate page at the end of the article and should constitute complete, self-explanatory caption.
An electronic source file prepared by Microsoft Word for windows 2000 or XP in Rich Text Format (RTF) should be included on a CD.
A small scale table - top exhibition of products, materials and literature by companies producing or selling instrumentation and chemicals for preparing plastics and petrochemical products is planned during the conference.
Complete registration form (one copy per participant) should be received by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee not later than Febr. 15, 2009.
The following are the registration fees.

* (50% discount for staff-members at the Egyptian Universities and Research Institutions).
Registration is only confirmed after receiving the conference fees. The fees cover the participation in the scientific programs, the conference materials, of abstracts book, accommodation for three nights and coffee breaks. Excursion and social events will be arranged at reduced rate. The registration fees in cash money or as a Bank Draft to the National Bank of Egypt, Mansoura University Branch, Account No.: 4/082/17471/4 should be forwarded to: Microanalytical Unit, Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Mansoura University, 35516-Mansoura, Egypt. If the payment is being made by an institution, please make sure that the participant's name is indicated.
All foreign participants must have a valid passport and Visa. Visas have to be obtained from the Egyptian Consulate or Embassy in their countries in advance. (One month before hand).

Egypt is a country that recapitulates seven thousand years of history and modern civilization culture in beautiful setting. The pyramids stands high and glorious, all guided by the wisdom of Sphinx, and enriched by the flow of river. Sharm El-Sheikh at the red sea is one if not the best recreation resort in the world. The weather in Egypt during April is normally moderate and the temperature in Sharm El-Sheikh is about 30?C. The city of Mansoura is the capital of Dakahlia Governorate (population about 5 million) and rests on the banks of the Damietta Branch of the Nile Delta, some 120 km from Cairo and 60 km from the Mediterranean Sea. It enjoys a good weather with seasonal temperatures varying between 12C-28C. Its surrounding landscape is lush and fertile agricultural land. The City is steeped in history. The meaning of the name " Mansoura' is " Victorious" . During the Seventh crusade, King Louis IX of France was captured and incarcerated there in the year 1250. The appartments, where he was held in, have been opened as a Museum, and is called "Dar-lbn-Lokman," which is an interesting tourist attraction . Today Mansoura is a well-known agroindustrial and commercial center with many of Egypt's major exporting industries within its environs. There is much to do and see in the City of Mansoura, a place which if visited once, you would wish to return to again and again.
The University campus has an area of more than 300 acres. It comprises the Faculties of Science, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, Agriculture, Commerce, Law, Education, Physical Education, Arts and Nursing. It has also a general directorate for the welfare of students which includes housing, recreation and dining facilities, university hospital and specialized medical centres. There are also housing facilities for the faculty members and a guest house as well as a club for the faculty members and their families.
Mansoura University has a branch in Damietta which includes Faculties of Science, Education physical education and branches of the Faculties of Commerce, Agriculture and Arts.
The total number of students in the university is about 121882.
Mansoura University has also about 5,000 post graduated students. The tuition is carried out by 2594 faculty members and about 1982 demonstrators and assistant lecturers.
Sharm El-Sheik is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Egypt. It has one of the finest diving spots in the world, a trip into the desert is one unforgettable adventure.
