GRADUATE ADMISSION
 

* Post graduate students are accepted for studies towards the degrees of M.Sc.or Ph.D.
* A student for M.Sc. must pass twelve courses to be undertaken during the first year of his admission .
Having successfully completed the courses, the student must then undertake a research project for at least one year. In order to complete the requirements for M.Sc., a thesis on the research project must be presented to a selected committee of specialists for adjudication. In order to complete the requirements for a Ph.D.degree, the student must work on a research project for a minimum of two years. On completion of the project, a thesis must be written and presented to a selected appropriate committee for adjudication.
RESEARCH GRANTS
In general, research students working towards M.Sc.or Ph.D.degrees are Egyptians and are supported by form the University. Foreign Students are also accepted if they hold a grant from their own country and /or pay the tuition fees.
However, a University should not be an entity set apart from the community in which it is built, instead it should play an active part in that community. Chemists working in various factories, agricultural or health establishments near and around Mansoura University are accepted to work towards M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees under the supervision of one staff member or more and on projects aimed to solving a technological, agricultural or health problems of basic or applied nature related to their work.
