FACILITIES
 

The department provides accommdation for approximately thirty post - graduate research workers.The following equipments are available:FTIR, IR and recording UV spectophotometers. There is also BET adsorption apparatus, atomic absorption spectrophotometer, complete photochemical equipment and DCP. The Department has a micro- analytical unit (for C, H and N) in addition to a magnetic susceptibility balance, polarographs and cyclic voltammeter. Complete set for thermal analysis (DTA,TG,DSC.) is also available for polymer research , QUV weathering testing apparatus, Hydraulic moulding press and blow extrusion machine for plastic film production. The shortage in some analysis instruments is overcome by the cooperation with some analysis centers in Cairo and Alexandria Universities.
