•At the Dept. of Biology, Colorado State Univ., USA (1998/1999): Plant tissue and cell culture techniques (Callus induction and plant regeneration, cell suspension cultures and regeneration from suspensions, protoplast isolation).

• At the Fac. of Sci., Ain Shams Univ., (2001): Training course in modern technology for gene isolation, PCR and DNA fingerprinting.
