A cooperation protocol between Mansoura University and the Leadership Development Institute to implement training programs

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater - President of Mansoura University signed a joint cooperation protocol with Prof. Karim Hamam - Director of the Leadership Development Institute at the Ministry of Higher Education. The protocol aims to achieve the Ministry’s plan to build an integrated and modern personality for students, through participation in all different activities and events, which makes these students able to do their best towards their community in an optimal manner, and to participate in its developmental path, under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The protocol provided for the provision of programs for capacity development, skill refining and training in various and renewable directions, holding workshops on how to establish small and medium enterprises, and holding nationally oriented conferences on investing in youth graduation projects within universities and institutes according to the requirements of the labor market and providing employment opportunities for students and young graduates.

The protocol also aims to increase student participation, faculty members, and administrative staff  in all activities for the benefit of them and the university community in Egyptian universities, in addition to preparing and qualifying youth leaders and providing opportunities for real participation in community enrichment by offering a range of sustainable developmental and educational programs and activities.

Prof. Cherif Khater, said that the university has achieved excellence locally and internationally and aims in its strategic plan to develop the skills of the university’s faculty members, administrative staff and students in cooperation with the Leadership Development Institute at the Ministry of Higher Education by intensifying participation in the programs offered by the institute, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030.

Prof. Karim Hamam, Director of the Institute, confirmed that the Institute's strategic plan contributes to achieving sustainable development for Egypt's Vision 2030, in addition to preparing and qualifying university and youth leaders and contributing to building human personality in general and students in particular by discovering and refining talents, and establishing and building a system of exceptional programs for leadership and developmental, educational and awareness activities to keep pace with global development, raise the efficiency of faculty members and develop their academic capabilities.

The signing of the protocol was attended  by Prof. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs, Dr. Hossam El-Din Mustafa El-Sharif, Vice Dean of the Institute, Prof. Mostafa Kamel, Assistant Secretary of the Institute, Major General Bahgat Mohamed Farid, former Director of the National Defense College, the distinguished artist Tarek Desouky
