Mansoura University Council honors the winning team representing Egypt in the Huawei International Competition for Information and Communication Technology 2022-2023

Mansoura University Council in its session on 29th of May 2023, chaired by Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and in the presence of Dr. Ayman Mukhtar, Governor of Dakahlia, honored the representative team of Egypt, the winner from Mansoura University of the Huawei International Competition for Information and Communication Technology 2022-2023.

Two teams from the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Computers and Information at Mansoura University won the second and third places in the Huawei International Communications and Information Technology Competition, which was held in Shenzhen, China, for the year 2022-2023, with the participation of 146 teams from 36 countries around the world.

In the field of networks, the student / Yasmine Rizk, a student in the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, won the second place. In the field of Cloud, the third place was won by the team consisting of: Student/ Amir Muhammad Shtayyeh, Mechatronics Engineering Program, Faculty of Engineering, Student/ Christina Maher Halim, Faculty of Computers and Information.

Prof. Cherif Khater expressed the university's pride in its distinguished students to raise the name of Egypt in international competitions, he said that the success of the two teams from Mansoura University indicates the university's excellence in education and training and reflects the interaction between the student and the professor and the motivation offered to them to achieve distinguished places internationally, as well as the university's support for talented students to participate in local, regional, and international competitions.

Dr. Ayman Mukhtar said that the Dakahlia Governorate is proud of Mansoura University as an origin expertise whose professors and scholars contribute with the executive bodies  in the implementation of development and service projects. He also thanked and appreciated Mansoura University’s efforts in providing scientific and academic support in the implementation of decent life projects in the villages of Sherbin and many projects in various fields. He added that he will always support Mansoura University to perform its scientific and medical services to the people of the governorate and other governorates.

The honoring took place in the presence of Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Magdy Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information, Prof. Abeer Tawakul, Director of the Huawei academy branch at the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University

Major General Moheb Al-Gharabawi, former director of the Security Administration of Mansoura University, was also honored for his distinguished efforts during his tenure at the university
