Mansoura University receives vice president of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education to accredit the Faculty of Engineering, 11 programs in the Faculty of Science, and 2 programs in the Faculty of Education for Early

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, received on November 13, 2023, a delegation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, headed by Prof. Thanaa Rady, Vice President of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation for Higher Education Affairs. The delegation includes the heads and teams of auditors at the Authority to visit and renew the accreditation of the Faculty of Engineering, as well as the accreditation of 11 programs in the Faculty of Science, 2 programs in the Faculty of Education for Early Childhood, and the Architecture program in the Faculty of Engineering.

In the presence of Prof. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi, Vice President of the University for Education and Students, Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Tarek Ghaloush, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Osama Al-Ayyan, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Sahar Tawfek, Dean of the Faculty of Education for Early Childhood, Prof. Sherif El-Badawi, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Nisreen Shalaby - Director of the Quality Assurance Center, Prof. Amir Shaalan, and Prof. Fatima El-Gohary, Deputy Directors of the Center.

Prof. Cherif Khater welcomed the Authority’s delegation to Mansoura University. He praised the cooperation with the Authority to reach institutional accreditation and approved programs, thanking the Authority for the technical and academic support it provided to the university to obtain academic accreditation as the first accredited government university in Egypt. He also talked about the university’s role in supporting faculties applying for accreditation at the technical and logistical levels.

Prof. Thanaa Rady said that the Authority is proud of the Egyptian universities that provide scientific, research and community services, and one of the most important universities of which we are proud is Mansoura University. She pointed to the partnership between the Authority and the university in achieving excellence and obtaining academic accreditation, she also hoped that all faculties and all programs therein would be accredited.

The visit also included holding a meeting with the deans of faculties, directors of quality units, program coordinators, and the university’s Quality Assurance Center to clarify and explain the developments in the criteria for applying for accreditation and the arrangements made by the authority to raise the quality of the educational process and seek international competition for universities and raise the level of graduate competitiveness locally and internationally. Developments in decisions of the Authority were also discussed regarding institutional and program accreditation.
