Mansoura University organizes an introductory day for newcomer international students representing 56 different nationalities

On November 14, 2023, the Administration of International Students at Mansoura University organized the “Introduction Day for International Students at the University” in the conference hall of the University’s General Administration Building.

In the presence of Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater - President of Mansoura University, Prof. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi - Vice President of the University for Education and Student, Prof. Tarek Ghalwash - Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Kholoud Rashid Matar, Cultural Advisor at the embassy of Bahrain, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abadi, Cultural Advisor at the Embassy of Yemen, Dr. Mansour Al-Khathlan, Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdul Rahman Abdullah Al-Rajaan, Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of Kuwait, Dr. Ismail Al-Hadi, Cultural and Academic Attaché at the Embassy of Libya, Dr. Selim Al-Talouli, responsible for university affairs and student activities at the Embassy of Palestine, the deans and vice deans of the university’s faculties, Dr. Ahmed Anwar Al-Adl - General Supervisor of the Administration of International Students at the University, Ms. Sahar Al-Iraqi - Director of International Students Administration , Coordinators of International Students’ Offices in the University’s faculties, a number of international students at the University.

During the celebration, the communities exhibition was opened for international students, and the most important cultural heritage of each community was displayed.

Prof. Cherif Khater said that Mansoura University is one of the first Egyptian universities to adopt internationalization, it attracted students from various countries until the number of international students at the university is constantly increasing. The university is keen to care for its international students in their second homeland, Egypt, by providing all types of services for them during their study at Mansoura University. He added that the university is making great efforts to develop and is focusing on creating new programs at highest international quality standards and keep pace with the requirements of the local, regional and international labor market while significantly improving the performance of existing institutions and raising the efficiency of their components by making the most of modern technologies, as well as caring for the student and developing their abilities by organizing many social, cultural, scientific, artistic and sporting activities through the International Students Club. The university is keen to remain a center for creativity, innovation, development and communication. The university always aims to provide health care to its international students, as well as providing suitable accommodation in its dormitories and receiving the children of international students in its international nursery. Preparing the student to be an ambassador for the university in his country after graduation and activates the Alumni Association for international students.

During his speech, the President of Mansoura University reviewed the most important features of the university, as it includes 18 faculties and more than 60 specific programs, including 10 faculties and 20 specific programs accredited by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. It is witnessing remarkable progress in international rankings, and is distinguished in the field of medical sciences. Mansoura University is the only university that advanced 200 points in the QS ranking in just three years, and ranked first locally in the specializations of medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry, and engineering. The university also ranked 301st  globally in the Times ranking to achieve sustainable development goals.

Mansoura University was the first Egyptian public university and the only one to obtain accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. International students apply at Mansoura University in the two stages (Bachelor’s-Postgraduate) for the excellent reputation it enjoys, they are one of the most important elements of educational tourism in Egypt.

Dr. Ahmed Anwar Al-Adl said that Mansoura University has 13,000 international students studying at the bachelor’s and postgraduate levels, representing 56 nationalities. The university has been keen to provide all services to international students including medical services, and providing accommodation that is suitable for them inside and outside the university. He also reviewed the university’s excellence and progress in various international university rankings. This distinction made it a destination for scientific research and attracted students from various countries until the number of international students at the university began to increase continuously. He noted that international students benefit from the various services provided by the Social Club at the Olympic Village, the Nile Club, and the International Students’ Club at Mansoura University.
