Events of the 5th  Entrepreneurship Week for the Carrer Development Centers were launched at Mansoura University

The events of the 5th  Entrepreneurship Week for Career Development Centers were launched at Mansoura University under the title “Towards Better Entrepreneurial Empowerment” in the presence of Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, Prof. Maha El-Ashmawy, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Mohamed Shata, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Al-Latif, Secretary General of the University, Dr. Mona Abu Al-Ezz, Executive Director of the Career Development Centers, Dr. Tarek Al-Bahi, Director of the Entrepreneurship and Employment Unit, Dr. Hisham Yassin, Director of the Training Unit, representatives of industrial institutions and civil society bodies.

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater talked about the political leadership’s interest in youth, believing in their role in development, and the university contributes to building people to achieve Egypt’s 2030 vision by training them and refining their skills. He added that the goal of establishing professional development centers is to connect students and graduates to the labor market, as well as to measure the graduate’s ability to face challenges in the labor market in accordance with digital transformation and technological development. The university has worked through the career development centers to qualify students and graduates for the local and international labor market, as the center includes an elite group of professionals and specialists in training and qualification. The university works enhance entrepreneurship as a main driver for supporting youth and developing the economy. The university has occupied advanced positions in Egypt, regionally, and internationally thanks to the projects of our students, which provide innovative ideas that meet the needs of society. He also pointed out the importance of effective partnerships with companies, civil society, and employment agencies to benefit from the university’s graduates.

Dr. Mona Abu Al-Ezz said that the administration of Mansoura University took a pioneering step by establishing the university center for career development. These centers reflect Mansoura University’s commitment to achieving its vision, which in turn is consistent with Egypt’s vision 2030 in providing graduates capable of competing and facing the challenges and opportunities that await them in the professional world. It also serves as a link between academic circles, civil society organizations, and employment agencies, in addition to the Career Development Center being an official, professional body for exploring the needs and developments of the labor market. She added that professional development centers offer a variety of supportive services to help students and graduates start in this competitive labor market. The center gives space to manage creative ideas, and provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary to transform their innovative ideas into applicable commercial projects by organizing workshops, and specialized training that aims to enhance students’ skills in entrepreneurship and effective cooperation with business experts, to benefit from valuable experiences and inspiring guidance for managing creative ideas, to transform their innovative ideas into commercial projects.

Dr. Hisham Yassin said that Entrepreneurship Week at Mansoura University reflects our commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and self-employment among members of our academic community, as they contain the power of creativity and innovation that form the basis of building a more sustainable future, and these efforts are implemented within the training unit through 4 basic axes:

The first: vocational training, in which we focus on providing students with basic skills that will help them enter the labor market through the following four workshops: career planning skills, CV writing skills, job search skills, and personal interview skills.

The second: specialized training.

 The third: transformational training.

 The fourth: practical training for business companies.

Dr. Tarek Al-Bahi said that organizing the week works to empower pioneers towards a future that holds more creativity and success, and that leadership represents a fundamental part in the world of business and comprehensive development, and through this event, we seek to expand the horizons of understanding on how to build an encouraging and supportive environment for pioneers, not just to be successful entrepreneurs, but to be inspiring and influential pioneers.

It reflects our commitment to creating an environment that allows new ideas to flourish, and the ambition to turn into realistic projects. Here we will talk about the necessary knowledge and success tools, and provide practical strategies that can help enable initiative and innovation.

Through the Center’s Entrepreneurship and Employment Unit, we provide a range of services that suit the challenges to create real opportunities for students and graduates through weekly employment bulletins, employment forums, career fairs, and round tables with experts, business owners, and startup companies to advance our students and graduates.

At the conclusion of the opening session, Dr. Mona Abu Al-Ezz announced the launch of the annual UCCD startup missiles competition. She also invited students from various faculties to participate in the competition with their various creative ideas.
