Mansoura University wins first place in the National Project for Literacy Eradication and Adult Education, April 2024

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, announced that the university achieved first place at the level of government universities in the literacy and adult education project, by eradicating the illiteracy of 12,290 students in the governorate, according to the achievement report issued by the General Authority for Adult Education for April 2024 session.
Prof. Cherif Khater said that the university’s is keen to continue its distinguished achievements in the field of literacy, which is a top priority for national issues, in implementation of its societal responsibility towards participating in the national literacy project, and contributing to achieving the sustainable development goals in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030, and its belief in the importance of eradicating illiteracy, as one of the most important and serious problems facing development goals at the present time due to its social, economic and political impacts, and its keenness on continuous and fruitful cooperation with the branch of the General Authority for Adult Education in Dakahlia Governorate.
He also praised the distinguished efforts made by the executive body of the General Authority for Adult Education, and the constructive and permanent cooperation with the Authority’s branch in Dakahlia, which played a major role in this achievement. He thanked the sectors of community service and environmental development, and education and student affairs at the university, and praised the effective participation of the deans and vice deans of faculties, adult education coordinators, faculty members, administrators, students, and work teams at the Faculties of Education, Specific Education, Early Childhood Education, Arts, and Physical Education for their active participation in the file of literacy and adult education. He also praised the efforts of the Mansoura University Center for Adult Education Services made in coordination between the university and the Dakahlia branch of the Adult Education Authority
