Mansoura University Faculty of Law is celebrating its Golden Jubilee and honoring the distinguished staff members and researchers

On Sunday 7th May 2023, the Faculty of Law organized a great celebration, "Scientific Excellence Celebration", during the Faculty’s celebrations of its golden jubilee, to honor 124 professors who received state awards in their various categories, and those who have distinguished scientific contributions in the legal field. The best professors who have published outstanding legal scientific research in prestigious scientific journals were also honored, in addition to honoring holders of master's and doctoral degrees from the faculty, whether from Egyptian or international students, and for the first time honoring the best researchers who have published distinguished scientific research in accordance with the scientific regulations for publishing and the ethics of scientific research. Many of those who obtained master's and doctoral degrees from the Faculty of Law, Mansoura University held high leadership and ministerial positions in their countries.

In the presence of Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater - President of Mansoura University, Prof.Ahmed Gamal El Din Moussa - Former Minister of Higher Education, Prof. El Sayed Abdel Khalek - Former Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Reda Abdel Salam - Former Governor of Sharkia, Prof. Ashraf Hafez - Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Walid El Shennawy - Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Ibrahim Abdullah - Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Tamer Saleh - Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Alaa Al-Tamimi - Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development , and members of the judicial and security bodies and faculty members.

 Prof. Cherif Khater expressed his pleasure with the celebration of scientific excellence of the Faculty of Law, and honoring its distinguished staff who made great effort in the scientific research, he added that the celebration is a tribute to genius, excellence, and diligence in serving the country, as it expresses our belief in the role of science, education and scientific research in building the knowledge society that we seek. He also said that the Faculty of Law has been distinguished throughout its history since its inception in 1973 until now, as its staff  have assumed leadership positions inside and outside the university. The faculty won first place in Mansoura University awards for government excellence in 2022 and the award for the best 10 faculties nationwide in the government excellence competition organized by the Ministry of Planning for the year 2023, , the faculty has also applied for accreditation of the foreign language section program from the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation.

Prof. El-Sayed Abdel-Khalek, former Minister of Higher Education, added that excellence is the result positive and diligent work, and the distinction of the Faculty of Law as a truly distinguished educational institution thanks to the faculty’s professors, deans and vice-deans, who successively managed it and worked to develop it over the years, and the establishment of many distinguished legal programs, at the level of the undergraduate and postgraduate studies, which allowed diversity in many forms and freedom of choice for researchers from Egypt and various Arab and African countries, and today we can keep up with the global development in various universities.

Prof. Ashraf Tarek Hafez emphasized the university's interest in the excellence of faculty members, graduates, and researchers by raising scientific and research capabilities and this helps in developing education in the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, indicating that the university has adopted the international publishing project in the field of humanities, to raise the production of scientific research and international publishing, which is reflected in the excellence locally and internationally in various international rankings.

Prof. Walid Al-Shennawy indicated that the Faculty of Law at Mansoura University has become in a better  position compared to other law faculties, and that the faculty was keen to organize this celebration to motivate young faculty members to start international publication, which has become a necessary requirement in the universities rankings.

Prof. Ibrahim Abdullah said that the Faculty of Law, which is considered one of the oldest schools of law in Egypt and the Arab world, where postgraduate studies began in 1977, and since then, the faculty has provided many modern programs for postgraduate students, whether at the level of diplomas, masters and doctorates. The Scientific Excellence Day 2023 was chosen, as the faculty is keen to hone the skills of researchers with all scientific research tools, in order to reach best  research outputs that can support Egypt’s efforts in setting legal and economic frameworks for all aspects of life, which will reflect positively on the national economy.

The celebration also included a speech by the researcher, Rana Abdel Samie on behalf of holders of master's and PhD degrees, and Baraa Yasser, a PhD holder , gave a speech on behalf of international researchers from various Arab countries.
