Global Initiative for Education and Youth Empowerment in the Field of Anti-Corruption "GRACE" Initiative

Mansoura University participated distinguishably in the activities of the "Best Policy Paper" competition within the Global Initiative for Education and Youth Empowerment in the field of fighting corruption (GRACE). Mansoura University participated with 20 teams of undergraduate students and 13 teams of postgraduate students at the university, under the patronage of Prof.Cherif Khater, President of the University, Prof. Mohamed Attia El Bayoumi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Ashraf Tarek Hafez, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Initiative Coordinator at the University, Prof. Tamer Mohamed Saleh,,Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law for Education and Student Affairs.

This competition is the first unique research competition for the best policy paper in the field of anti-corruption, sponsored by Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and supervised by the Administrative Control Authority, with the participation of more than 670 undergraduate students, who form about 160 research teams, and 400 Postgraduate studies students. and faculty members who formed about 100 research teams, with the participation of 10 Egyptian public and private universities in their various faculties: Cairo, Alexandria, Ain Shams, Helwan, Mansoura, Assiut, Beni Suef, the British University, the Future University, and the University of New Giza.

An arbitration committee was formed for these papers chaired by Prof.Mohamed Swailem El-Basiouni, former Vice President of Mansoura University, Prof. Hassan Ali Etman, former Vice President of Mansoura University, Prof. Tarek Mustafa Ghallush, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Assoc.Prof. Ahmed Fekry, Director of the Scholarships Office at the University, Dr. Samah Al-Saeed Helmy, Deputy Director of the University Performance Development Center, Assoc.Prof. Rania Rawhi Mahmoud, Faculty of Arts, and the committee concluded the following:

First: The winning papers in the (Undergraduate) stage:

The first place the policy paper [digitization of services and its role in fighting corruption] under the supervision of Prof. Mustafa Al-Gayar, Faculty of Computers.

 The second place the policy paper [mechanisms for reducing financial corruption in the state’s administrative apparatus] under the supervision Prof. AlMoatasem BAllah Mustafa, Faculty of Law.

 The third place policy paper [the role of cybersecurity in fighting corruption] under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Abdel Fattah Zuhry, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels.

Second: the winning papers in the (Postgraduate) stage:

The first place the policy paper [the role of cybersecurity in fighting corruption] under the supervision of Prof. Noha Ahmed Heikal, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computers.

The second place the policy paper [mechanisms to reduce financial corruption in the private sector] under the supervision Prof. Walid Mohamed Abul-Maaty, Faculty of Education.

The third place policy paper [Enhancing Integrity and Fighting Corruption in the Field of Sports] under the supervision of Prof. Tamer Ibrahim El-Ashry, Faculty of Commerce.
