Mansoura University maintains its position in the "Shanghai" global ranking

According to the report of the Academic Ranking of World Universities, known as the Shanghai Ranking for the year 2023, Mansoura University succeeded in maintaining its ranking in the category 601-700 at the international level and the second at the local level after Cairo University. It is noteworthy that the Shanghai ranking is the strongest global ranking that has existed in the international arena for a long time, as this ranking is based on several criteria that evaluate universities according to their scientific and research productivity. On top of these criteria are the following:
The number of Nobel laureates, whether through research or teaching.
The volume of studies and research published in "Nature" and "Science" magazines, and the percentage of reference to those researches and the university in the media and scientific journals.
Percentage of referrals to researchers in the last five years.
Academic performance.
The presence of Mansoura University for the sixth year in a row in the Shanghai ranking is a great achievement due to the dependence of this ranking in the first place on the number of the university’s staff who won the Nobel Prize, which is a criterion that Mansoura University lacks so far, and despite that, the university competes fiercely to stay on the list of the best thousand universities worldwide.
