President of Mansoura University participates in the events of the World Conference on Population, Health, and Development 2023

On September 5, 2023, Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, participated in the events of the World Conference on Population, Health, and Development 2023, which was inaugurated by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt, under the slogan “Healthy Population for Sustainable Development.”

The conference was attended by Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, and several ministers and senior statesmen, all those concerned with health, population and development issues at the global, regional, and national levels and representatives of international organizations, civil society, the private sector and entrepreneurs participated in the conference, with the participation of more than 8000 people from Egypt and other countries around the world.

Prof. Cherif Khater said that Egypt has achieved a huge development in the health sector through the unprecedented presidential health and humanitarian initiatives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which contributed to reaching millions and providing distinguished health services to the Egyptian citizen, and these initiatives succeeded in eliminating Virus C through the 100 Million Health Initiative, reducing waiting lists and doubling treatment expenses at state expense.

The events of the conference will continue until September 8 which will include 65 dialogue sessions with the participation of 270 Egyptian and foreign speakers.
