Mansoura University participates in the forum for preparing young leaders in Egyptian universities and institutes under the slogan “Leaders of Tomorrow”

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Leadership Development Institute, Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, Prof. Karim Hamam, Director of the Leadership Development Institute and Consultant to the Minister for Student Activities, and the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumy, Vice President of Mansoura University for Education and Students Affairs.

Mansoura University’s delegation participated in the events of the training program at the Young Leaders Preparation Forum, which was organized by the Leadership Development Institute in Helwan during the period from 16 to 19 October,2023, under the slogan “Leaders of Tomorrow”, which was organized in accordance with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, on the necessity of fighting rumors which contradicts the tolerant religious beliefs and the authentic cultural and societal legacies of the Egyptian people, and the interest in raising awareness and preparing a generation of young faculty members to transfer these experiences to students, as they are the best ambassadors for Egyptian universities.

The delegation also included: Eng. Mahmoud Rady Saleh, demonstrator in the Department of Mathematics and Engineering Physics at the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Zayed, assistant lecturer in speech pathology in the Department of Otolaryngology at the Faculty of Medicine, and Mr. Mahmoud Gamal Al-Sebaei, assistant lecturer in the Department of Ancient Antiquities at the Faculty of Arts. Mr. Ayman Al-Sayed Abdelaziz, assistant lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, and Ms. Amani Ali Al-Hadidi, assistant lecturer in the Department of Public Law, Faculty of Law.

The training program included a series of lectures, awareness workshops, and various activities.

The forum hosted the first lectures by Major General Engineer Hafez Mahmoud Hassan, Assistant for Financial and Administrative Affairs and Information Systems at the General Office of the Ministry of Commerce, Head of the Armed Forces Operations Authority, and a researcher in international relations and the Peace and Security Organization of the African Union, in a lecture entitled "Egyptian National Security and Combating Rumors". As well as in a dialogue session “Moderation of Religious Discourse and Combating Extremist Ideas” by Sheikh Yusri Azzam, Imam of Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque, a fellow of the Nasser Military Academy, obtained the Medal of the Republic.

A group of workshops included (problem-solving and decision-making skills) organized by Prof. Abeer Qassem, Vice President of Burj Al-Arab University of Technology, and a workshop on effective presentation skills from Prof. Aya Anan, Professor of Economics and Political Science,

The workshops ended with (body language), where Dr. Muhammad Al-Imam, a certified human development expert, explained how to communicate through some gestures and body movements to others. During the program, there was a visit to the Museum of Egyptian Civilizations, in which Mahmoud Gamal, assistant lecturer in the Department of Ancient Antiquities, Faculty of Arts volunteered, by explaining and clarifying the archaeological monuments, their history, and how the Pharaohs lived in terms food, drink, and use of their tools, whether in agriculture or industry.

The program concluded with a dialogue meeting with Dr. Sami Hashem, member of The Parliament for the Education Committee, in which Ms. Amani Ali Al-Hadidi, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Public Law at the Faculty of Law and General Supervisor of Mansoura University’s Parliament participated with a dialogue about the importance and role of the Mansoura University Parliament and motivating them to activate this role and the difference between the activities of the Student Union and the student parliamentary role, the program concluded with certificates awarded to university members who participated.
