The most prominent topics of Mansoura University Council for October 2023

Mansoura University Council held its 604th  session on October 30, 2023, headed by Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University. The Council began by observing a minute of silence for the souls of the martyrs of Palestine and prayed to Allah to bless their souls and have mercy on them.

Thanks and appreciation were also extended to Prof. Muhammad Hassanein Abdo Al-Agmi, former Dean of the Faculty of Education, for the efforts he made during his tenure as dean, and congratulations were extended to Prof. Ali Abd Rabbo Hussein - Acting Dean of the Faculty of Education.

The university president reviewed the most important topics at the meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities, including: the necessity of paying attention to student activities to develop awareness, belonging, and loyalty among university students by organizing cultural and scientific seminars, as well as organizing field visits to major national projects implemented by the state in various sectors, to introduce students to the scale of projects and achievements that are being implemented throughout the Republic, to maximize the benefit from the Egyptian Knowledge Bank to make the most of the unique and enormous possibilities for learning and training it provides, to enhance the work of centers for the care of gifted, talented and creative people in Egyptian universities, to emphasize the importance of the role of universities in confronting climate change phenomena by doing research and studies dealing with this matter, to develop practical plans to confront these natural phenomena.

The Council took several decisions, including: approving the granting of 11 assistant professors the position of professor, granting 16 lecturers the position of assistant professor, appointing 17 assistant lecturers to the position of lecturer, and appointing 1 assistant consultant.

The Council approved amending a number of internal regulations for the bachelor’s and bachelor’s degrees.

The Council also agreed to exempt a number of (4) students with special needs at postgraduate diplomas from the fees of educational service and book expenses due to their health conditions.

Approval to establish the Pharmacy Center for Scientific Excellence (a scientific and research service excellence center) affiliated with the Faculty of Pharmacy, which includes: the “Pharmacy Center for Scientific Excellence” project, the “Raising Research Efficiency - Magnetic Resonance” project, and approval to sign a cooperation agreement between the University’s Faculty of Nursing and “Chongqing City Management College” in China, to establish a training center to serve the elderly in Egypt at the university’s Faculty of Nursing.
