A delegation of the Cultural Attaché of the Republic of Yemen in Cairo visits Mansoura University to discuss ways of cooperation

On April 17, 2024, Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater - President of the University, received the delegation of the Cultural Attaché of the Republic of Yemen in Cairo, headed by His Excellency Dr. Hadi Al-Sabban - Cultural Advisor at the Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Cairo, accompanied by Mr. Hashem Al-Mikhlafi - Financial Officer, in the presence of Prof. Tarek Ghalwash - Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Al-Mu'tasem Billah Mustafa - General Supervisor of the administration of International Students, Dr. Shaima Abdel Wahab, and Dr. Ahmed Salah General Supervisor Deputies of International Students, Dr. Walid Al-Tantawi, General Director of Education and Student Affairs, Mr. Muhamad Al-Nagar Director of International Students’ Office.
The meeting comes within the framework of Mansoura University's keenness to strengthen communication with the cultural attachés in Cairo, as well as to enhance cooperation and exchange of experiences with universities throughout the Arab world.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Cherif Khater welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the depth of ties and close relations between Egypt and the Republic of Yemen, and the keenness of Mansoura University to care for Yemeni students studying in the various faculties of the university and to provide the best methods of modern education and distinctive programs for them, this is within the great interest that the university gives to its international students, as they are true ambassadors of Mansoura University in their countries.
Dr. Hadi Al-Sabban expressed his great pleasure for visiting Mansoura University. He also praised the pioneer Mansoura University, its scientific and academic standing, the prestigious reputation it enjoys, and the tangible progress it has achieved in the education and scientific research sector. He added that education and scientific research are the basis for building and developing countries. He also stressed the attaché’s keenness to cooperate with prestigious universities in the Arab world, the most important of which is Mansoura University.
The two parties discussed ways to enhance academic cooperation in all scientific and research fields and the possibility of holding research projects, as well as the exchange of faculty members and students and joint supervision between Mansoura University and the various universities in Yemen in order to exchange experiences and strengthen relations with the university.
On the sidelines of the visit, a meeting was held between the delegation of the Yemeni Cultural Attaché and the Yemeni students at the university, and the conditions of the students during their studies at the university were discussed.
