Mansoura University President Honors Iraqi Al-Mostaqbal University Delegation at the Conclusion of the Joint Training Program

The short summer training program for the Al-Mostaqbal University delegation from the Republic of Iraq concluded, in the presence of Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research.
During this program, the university hosted a group of students from the Faculties of Medicine and Engineering at the Iraqi University from August 16 to 23, 2025, as part of the cooperation agreement signed between the two universities.
The meeting was attended by the program supervisors from the Iraqi side: Dr. Essam Ali Al-Sudani; Dr. Amin Kuttab, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; and Dr. Saad Fathallah Al-Alam, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit and Program Coordinator, in addition to the student trainees.
Prof. Cherif Khater welcomed the student delegation and their supervising professors, expressing his pleasure at the university's hosting of Al-Mostaqbal University students from the Republic of Iraq, emphasizing the deep fraternal and historical ties that unite the Egyptian and Iraqi peoples. He also emphasized that Mansoura University's hosting of the Al-Mostaqbal University delegation embodies the university's commitment to the political leadership's directives to strengthen cooperation with sister Arab universities. He added that such training programs represent true bridges for building an informed generation equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to meet future challenges. He pointed out that Mansoura University places at the core of its mission the enhancement of academic and scientific cooperation with local, regional, and international institutions. This strengthens cultural communication and supports knowledge integration through sustainable strategic partnerships that enhance its ability to support innovation, thus consolidating its prestigious position as a leading academic and research center.
Prof. Cherif Khater also expressed his thanks and appreciation to Prof. Hassan Shaker Magdy, President of the Iraqi Al-Mostaqbal University, for his continued support for academic and student cooperation between the two universities, emphasizing that this partnership represents a distinguished model for joint Arab cooperation.
Prof. Tarek Ghalwash said that the training program for Al-Mostaqbal University students represents a scientific model for fruitful academic cooperation, providing students with access to the latest laboratories and scientific capabilities, enhancing their practical skills and linking academics to labor market requirements. He added that, through these initiatives, Mansoura University seeks to consolidate its pioneering role in supporting Arab and regional cooperation and providing an integrated training environment that enriches the academic and cultural experience of incoming students, contributing to building a generation capable of contributing to the development paths within their communities.
Prof. Cherif Khater honored the student delegation supervisors and students, presenting them with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their active participation in the program, amid an atmosphere of friendship and mutual appreciation between the two sides.
The training program included specialized scientific visits, including a visit to the Vertebrate Paleontology Center at the Faculty of Science and the Intilaq Communications Technology Company. Practical training was also provided at the Faculties of Medicine and Engineering, covering biochemistry, anatomy, stem cell, and medical research laboratories, as well as solar energy, communications, electrical circuits, and artificial intelligence laboratories. The program also included tours of several of the university's leading medical centers, including the Kidney and Urology Center, the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Center, as well as visits to the College of Nursing and the Liver Center in Sherbin.
On the cultural and sporting front, the delegation visited the Olympic Village and the Nile University Club, in addition to a visit to the permanent camp in Gamasa, a recreational trip to Ras El Bar, and a tour of Mansoura.
Al-Mostaqbal University delegation included 13 male and female students from the Faculties of Medicine and Engineering, accompanied by three of their supervising professors. The activities were organized by the Graduate Studies and Research Sector, in coordination with the International Relations Office and the International Students’ Administartion at Mansoura University.
