The visit included a tour of the Faculty of Law Museum, which documents its rich academic history since its founding in 1908. It houses exhibits and photographs chronicling its academic journey and its pioneering role in establishing legal education in Iraq and the Arab region. The visit also included a documentary presentation on the faulty’s founding and development over the decades, and its prominent contributions to the fields of legislation, judiciary, and legal thought.

In a meeting with faculty students during a visit to a third-year lecture, the President of Mansoura University expressed his pleasure at the dialogue with the students, emphasizing his keenness to build bridges of academic cooperation between the two universities.

During the visit, the President of Mansoura University reviewed possible areas of cooperation in the fields of scientific research, graduate studies, faculty and student exchanges, the organization of moot courts and joint academic events, as well as the implementation of joint training and practical activities to develop the legal skills of students from both universities.

Prof. Ali Hadi Attia Al-Hilali welcomed the visit of the President of Mansoura University, praising the efforts of the Egyptian university in supporting education and scientific research at the Arab and international levels. He emphasized that this visit represents an important step toward strengthening cooperation between Arab universities and exchanging expertise in developing legal curricula and enhancing the efficiency of academic training.

The faculty of Law at the University of Baghdad is one of the oldest academic institutions in the Arab world. Founded in 1908, it was the first nucleus of modern legal education in Iraq, contributing to the graduation of generations of judges, legislators, and law professors who have left a clear mark on legal and political life in Iraq and the region. The faculty’s history is linked to the name of the great Egyptian jurist, Dr. Abd al-Razzaq al-Sanhuri, who served as its dean during the 1930s. He contributed to laying the foundations of modern legal education there and made numerous legislative contributions to Arab legal history, combining the spirit of Islamic jurisprudence with the principles of modern civil law. Sanhuri's legacy is an integral part of the faculty’s history and academic thought. His writings and intellectual methodology remain a fundamental pillar in the teaching of civil law and its comparative sources.

At the conclusion of the visit, commemorative photos were taken to document the meeting. Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, expressed his admiration for the history and solid academic legacy of the Faculty of Law at the University of Baghdad, appreciating the academic and organizational development he had witnessed within its educational environment. He thanked the dean and faculty members for their warm welcome and generous hospitality.
