Mansoura University's Faculty of Engineering Tops Public Faculties and Wins First Place in Egypt Government Excellence Award

Prime Minister Prof. Mostafa Madbouly presented Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, with the first-place award for the Faculty of Engineering in the public colleges category. This award was presented during the fourth edition of the "Egypt Government Excellence Award," held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and in the presence of Prof. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, along with several other ministers and executive leaders.
This achievement is a culmination of Mansoura University's ongoing institutional development and its commitment to quality, governance, and innovation, further solidifying its position among leading educational institutions nationwide.
The Faculty of Engineering at Mansoura University qualified among the top ten public colleges nationwide out of 326 participating colleges, after successfully completing the institutional evaluation process based on rigorous criteria. These criteria included the efficiency of academic and administrative performance, the application of quality systems, and continuous improvement, before ultimately securing first place in its category.
Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, expressed his pride in this national achievement, emphasizing that the university's accomplishments are a result of the unlimited support provided by the political leadership, headed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, for developing the higher education system and establishing a culture of excellence within state institutions. This aligns with the goals of Egypt's Vision 2030 to build a modern state based on efficiency and innovation. He noted that this distinction reflects the university's success in implementing the pillars of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, launched by the Ministry of Higher Education, led by Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This strategy aims to raise the quality of education, enhance institutional competitiveness, and link educational outcomes to the needs of sustainable development and the labor market.
The university president extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Prime Minister, Prof. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, and to those responsible for the Egypt Government Excellence Award, for their pioneering efforts in supporting institutional development and motivating universities and government entities to adopt global best practices in management and quality. He also commended the dedicated efforts of the University's Government Excellence Team and the entire Faculty of Engineering community, including its academic and administrative leaders, faculty members, and staff. He emphasized that this achievement is a testament to teamwork and institutional discipline, and serves as a powerful incentive to continue the journey of excellence and leadership.
It is worth noting that the Egypt Government Excellence Award is a national award under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. It aims to develop and improve the state's administrative apparatus by achieving the Sustainable Development Plan (Egypt Vision 2030), promoting positive, effective, and constructive competition, and establishing the principles and values of excellence across all sectors of the state. This, in turn, benefits citizens by raising performance levels and adhering to standards of quality and excellence.
