Mansoura University organizes the Gamasa Camp for International Students to support cultural integration

As part of Mansoura University's commitment to its international students and its dedication to providing a supportive university environment that fosters cultural exchange and a sense of belonging, the university's International Students Office organized the Gamasa Camp for International Students. This camp was one of several activities designed to support the academic and social experience of international students.

The camp was held under the patronage of Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and under the supervision of Dr. Al-Mu'tasim Billah Mustafa, General Supervisor of the International Students Office; Dr. Shaimaa Abdel-Wahab, Deputy General Supervisor for Graduate Studies and Research; and Dr. Ahmed Salah Ali, Deputy General Supervisor for Education and Student Affairs.

The camp featured a comprehensive three-day program, beginning with welcoming the students and introducing them to the camp's objectives and activities. This was followed by introductory meetings aimed at strengthening bonds of friendship and cooperation among students of different nationalities. Orientation sessions were also held to familiarize them with the services and activities the university offers to support international students during their studies.

The program included a variety of sports and recreational activities, such as football matches, table tennis, and team games, as well as cultural and recreational competitions that provided an opportunity for interaction and the exchange of experiences among the participants. Student evenings were also held, featuring artistic, cultural, and musical performances that contributed to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere among the students.

The camp was visited by the General Supervisor of International Student Affairs and the two Deputy General Supervisors, who were keen to participate in the camp's activities and interact directly with the international students. This visit reflected the university administration's commitment to monitoring the well-being of international students and fostering their sense of integration within the university community. The participating students expressed their delight at taking part in the camp, emphasizing that this experience provided them with an opportunity to get to know each other, build new relationships, and strengthen their sense of belonging. They noted that Mansoura University represents a supportive learning environment and a second home that brings together students from diverse cultures.

The camp was organized by Mr. Mohamed Hassan, Head of Student Activities and Trips; Captain Walid El-Sabahy, Head of Sports Activities at the International Students Club; Ms. Amira Mohsen, Head of Sports and Girls' Activities at the International Students Club; and Mr. Amr Fadel, Financial Officer at the International Students Office.

Organizing this camp comes within the framework of Mansoura University's commitment to supporting international students and enhancing their cultural and social integration, which contributes to solidifying the university's position as a leading and attractive educational destination for international students.
