Mansoura University President Participates in the First Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Dakahlia Public Library, Chaired by the Governor of Dakahlia

Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, participated on Monday, in the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Dakahlia Public Library. The meeting, held at the governorate headquarters, was chaired by Major General Tarek Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia. The meeting aimed to discuss mechanisms for developing the library and enhancing its cultural and educational role in the coming period, within the framework of strengthening partnerships between educational and cultural institutions to support human development and raise community awareness.

The meeting also addressed the need to discuss mechanisms for developing the library and maximizing its cultural and educational role in the coming period. The meeting was attended by Dr. Hussein Maghrabi, Deputy Governor; Major General Emad Abdullah, Secretary-General of the Governorate; Prof. Mahmoud El-Gaeidy, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Mansoura University; Engineer Mohamed El-Rashidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education; Senator Tarek Abdel-Hadi; journalist Hazem Nasr, Head of the Journalists Syndicate in Dakahlia; Dr. Rabab Mohamed, Director-General of the Misr Public Library; Engineer Abdel-Hamid Shoman, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Gamasa Investors Association; and Ms. Rehab Darwish, Director of the General Administration of Councils and Committees in the Governorate, in addition to members of the Board of Trustees.

During the meeting, the Governor of Dakahlia reviewed the outlines of the Misr Public Library development plan, emphasizing that the library aims to become a hub for arts and culture, and a comprehensive platform for intellectual and educational activities, thus contributing to spreading cultural awareness and strengthening national identity among the residents of the governorate. He emphasized the importance of maximizing the library's resources and developing its services to ensure sustainability and improve the quality of services provided to the public. This will be achieved through establishing effective mechanisms for resource management and developing cultural and educational activities that meet the needs of the community.

The governor stressed the necessity of achieving integration between educational and cultural institutions, particularly Mansoura University and the Directorate of Education, to support efforts to build the Egyptian citizen, educate youth, and prepare a conscious generation capable of contributing positively to the development process. He also noted the governorate's commitment to supporting various initiatives that contribute to raising awareness and shaping national character.

Prof. Cherif Khater expressed his pleasure at participating in the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Public Library. He praised the fruitful and ongoing cooperation between Mansoura University and the Dakahlia Governorate in various educational and community fields, which he described as a successful model of institutional integration aimed at raising awareness and building human capacity. He also commended the efforts of Major General Tarek Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, in supporting and developing the cultural and educational system and enhancing its societal role. He emphasized the importance of joint cooperation between the two sides to maximize the utilization of available resources and support efforts to disseminate knowledge and instill values ​​of awareness and belonging, in line with the Egyptian state's direction towards investing in human capital and building a society based on science and culture.
