Mansoura University President Attends Annual Iftar for "Students for Egypt" Family with Over 2,000 Students

Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, attended the annual Iftar (fast-breaking meal) organized by the "Students for Egypt" family in cooperation with the University Student Union and the General Administration for Student Welfare on Tuesday evening, March 10, 2026. The event, held in the university's main square, was attended by over 2,000 male and female students from various faculties, in a Ramadan atmosphere characterized by camaraderie and communication between the students and the university administration.

The events were attended by deans and vice deans of faculties, Dr. Walid Tantawi, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Mr. Ashraf El-Deeb, Assistant Secretary of the University for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Sabry Saraya, Coordinator of Student Activities and Head of the Students for Egypt Family, Dr. Mariam Wissa, Deputy Coordinator of Student Activities, Mr. Ahmed El-Ashry, Director General of Student Welfare, along with a number of university leaders, faculty members, student activity coordinators from various faculties, Mohamed Ragai, Rapporteur of the Students for Egypt Family, and Ahmed Salah, Vice President of the Student Union.
During his speech, Prof. Cherif Khater congratulated the university students on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, expressing his pleasure at sharing these special Ramadan moments with his students, and praying that God would bring this blessed occasion back to Egypt and the Arab and Islamic nations with goodness, prosperity, and blessings. He also emphasized that the university places great importance on supporting student activities as a fundamental pillar in the holistic development of university students, in line with the vision of the Egyptian state, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to build a conscious generation possessing knowledge, skills, and the ability to innovate, capable of contributing effectively to the comprehensive development process and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The university president pointed out that organizing such events reflects the students' sense of belonging and contributes to strengthening interpersonal relationships among them, in addition to its role in establishing the concept of positive participation in student activities and building a cadre of young people capable of assuming responsibility and actively participating in serving the community.
He also praised the excellent organization of the group Iftar, commending the role played by the Students for Egypt family in motivating students to participate in various cultural, social, and sports activities, and providing them with opportunities to express their opinions and participate in various issues and topics within the university community.
Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi affirmed the university's commitment to maintaining direct communication with its students through diverse student events and activities. He noted that the annual Iftar banquet provides an opportunity to strengthen human bonds within the university community and reflects the spirit of unity that unites the university administration and its students. He added that the Education and Student Affairs sector is working to expand and diversify student activities to help discover students' talents and develop their leadership and creative abilities. He emphasized the university's dedication to providing a stimulating campus environment that supports student participation in various cultural, social, and sporting events, thereby fostering a sense of belonging to the university and reinforcing the values of cooperation and teamwork among them.
The participating students expressed their happiness at taking part in the Ramadan Iftar banquet and appreciated the university administration's interest in communicating with them and its commitment to supporting student activities. They affirmed that such events contribute to strengthening their sense of belonging to the university and enhancing relationships among students. The iftar meal was followed by a Ramadan evening featuring a number of artistic performances, including religious chanting, Tanoura dance, and choral singing, in a festive atmosphere that reflected the spirit of the holy month and witnessed great enthusiasm from the participating students.
